Famous Players-Lasky

The Famous Players-Lasky Corporation was formed by the 1916 merger of Adolph Zukor’s Famous Players Film Company and Jesse L. Lasky’s Feature Play Company.

Zukor pioneered the practices of vertical integration of the film industry and block booking practices in the movie industry.

In September 1927, Famous Players–Lasky was reorganized as Paramount Famous–Lasky Corporation and, later, simply Paramount Pictures Corporation.
