Central Park Theatre features a Betty Compson movie on the marquee, ‘The Rustle of Silk,’ in the 1920s. The theater, touted as the first to be air-conditioned, was the first of the movie palaces owned by Balaban & Katz, and was built by architects Rapp and Rapp.
